What instruments are available?

Tiramisu consists of Harp, both Classical and Celtic, Violin, Oboe, Flute, French Horn and Classical Guitar. We can also play piano if one is provided.

 

Can I just hire one instrument?

Absolutely. You can hire instruments individually, such as harp, or any combination of instruments that you would like. Typically we find that a good combination is harp, violin and flute/oboe.

 

Can we make a special request?

Yes. We are more than happy to make a special arrangement of your favourite music.

 

Do you play outdoors?

Yes, but as most of the instruments are made of wood, and susceptible to changes in humidity, we have to ensure they are properly protected. Rain and cold are not kind to them (or the musicians).

 

Do you use amplification?

No. It is much better to use the natural acoustic of the environment to amplify the sound of these wonderful instruments.

 

How long do you play?

We can play for up to 4 hours. For longer events, it is better to have more musicians, to allow for individual musicians to take short breaks.
